5 Ways to Make Father's Day Special

With Father's Day just around the corner, it’s time to show your husband or father how special he is.

Here are our five ways to make Father’s Day extra special:

1. Eliminate any pressure

What most dads want is to have a day free from any pressure. I’m sure most dads would really appreciate not having to fix anything, not doing any chores and not rushing about on this special day. Let him really relax.

2. Spend time together

Get away from the house and take this day to focus on spending time together as a family. I personally like to go for a nice walk or have a picnic. It’s a great time to share stories and dreams together. Now that's a day Dad will really remember!

3. Focus on him

Instead of planning everything out for him, give him the gift of freedom and choice. Let him make decisions about what to do and how to spend the day. If he's a sports fan, accompany him to see his favourite team play. If he wants a few hours to himself, indulge him. He deserves it!

4. Bring on the praise

Fathers want to be appreciated. Show him how you feel by writing him a thank-you card detailing the ways he contributes to the family, how he provides moral and emotional support, what makes him a great parent and partner. Tell him just how much you love him! I assure you that he will feel very special hearing it from the most important people in his life.

5. Get creative with gifts

If writing is not your forte, consider making a short family video for him or create a scrap book with fond memories from your childhood. The time and effort you put into making it will be appreciated!
